Founded by 8200 alumni in 2013, 8200 IMPACT is the first acceleration program in Israel for impact-tech startups, that aim to solve significant social or environmental problems through advanced technology, for the benefit of society and economy both locally and globally . This program was launched in order to harness the human capital of 8200 alumni for the benefit of society.
8200 is the elite IDF Signal Intelligence and Cybersecurity unit.
Entrepreneurs participating in the program are provided with free sessions supplied by entrepreneurs, professionals, and investors. These sessions are dedicated to the specific challenges, covering a wide range of fields such as: UX / UI, marketing, funding, legal issues of the start-up, Financials and Business advice, pitching skills, product and market fit etc.
The 8200 Impact acceleration program, in collaboration with the Social Banking Division at Bank Hapoalim, is launching the Social Inclusion program for early-stage startups in the fields of accessibility, diversity, and inclusion for the first time in Israel.
The 8200 Alumni Association and Tel Aviv's CityZone are leading the search for relevant startups in Israel.
Every year, technological startups participate in the demo day event of 8200Impcat, showcasing solutions in the fields of accessibility, climate, energy, and healthcare.
“Raising money is probably more challenging. There is a need to prove your ability and professional knowledge to gain trust within the first moments of conversation," she said.
The startup 6Degrees, founded by the couple Aryeh Katz and Miri Berger, has developed a wearable bracelet that automatically connects to any digital device such as a smartphone and computer, and allows people with hand disabilities to operate it.
