In addition to our acceleration program, we are leading, together with other partners, additional programs in the ecosystem in the areas of impact.
EIT Hub Israel is part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), which runs programmes and accelerators to help boost startups and scaleups using business tools, matchmaking, mentors and a global network. We have partnered for Calling2Scale, an eight-week intensive bootcamp, which 14 European and Israeli startups were selected to take part in. The bootcamp offered values for the startups in 3 tracks: Renewable Energy, Waste Management and Recycling, and Health. Before joining the bootcamp, the startups had to be ready to scale, with a working product, a business plan and have raised at least one round of funding. The programme is equity free and fully funded for the selected startups.

By allowing them to actively learn from the Israeli know-how, hopefully our Tohoku startup cohorts will be encouraged to go global. Apart from know-how, this program also helps selected startups to find their potential business partners abroad.Lecturers and mentors in this program are globally successful entrepreneurs and investors from both organizations. Sharing their best tools, methods and mindset with Tohoku startups to maximize their potential and to aim as high as they can at the global stage.
The vision of 8200 Cactus is to grow the Israeli impact-tech community.
We believe that almost every startup can make a social or environmental impact while ensuring profitability. The program will give rise to the impact core values in startup companies and create accessibility for early-stage startups to become part of the “Impact Nation” that is expanding to the south of Israel.
